In conclusion, the QBE/OBE language is a high-level nonprocedural language with the following unique features: • Requires very few concepts to get started. • Gives the feeling of manual manipulation of the objects. • Combines word processing, data processing, and communicationin an elegant, compact, and unified manner. • Allows users to customize their own menus. • Allows user access to centralized IMS data bases. • Allows end users to automate routine business procedures by means of triggers.
