Multimedia technology has the features of integration, interaction, controllability and so on. Taking full advantages of multimedia teaching, the exploration and practice of multimedia teaching in the course of microcomputer principle and application is heated discussed in this paper. By using multimedia teaching, the content of CAI courseware could be arranged properly. By setting up hot spots in the hardware schematic diagram and simulating blackboard teaching to teach diagrams and procedures, hardware schematics, circuit signal flow or even signal changes, addressing processes and dynamic expression of instructions or process during executing procedures could be expressed perfectly. The exploration and practice of multimedia teaching also has the significances in highlighting focuses and difficulties.
