This article focuses on the symbols of the motion of animation characters from the perspective of semiotics, and a new approach for the design of the dynamic language of animation characters has been searched. The conclusion we draw in the article is that the dynamic languages of animation characters are symbols in nature. Basically, the dual features of the dynamic language of animation characters have been analyzed: composing symbols and action symbols, and, based on the dual features, a new semiotic design for the dynamic language of animation characters has been proposed in this article. All in all, the dual features of the dynamic language of animation characters provide us with a new perspective on the design, and are favorable for the understanding of the nature of designing the motion of animation characters.
