Knudsen, Hans ; DONG Energy, Denmark

In 2008 DONG Energy commissioned the SmartPIT (Power system & IT) system. SmartPIT collects data from almost all DONG Energy IT systems - technical as well as financial; e.g. GIS, SAP, AMR, SCADA, DMS - and aggregate the data in a unified data base with a carefully designed data structure. A detailed load model of annual consumption using synthetic load curves with 22 individual seasons and 27 customer categories is a key element in the data model. Data is imported from the source systems on a regular basis with sample times ranging between 10 minutes and up to one month depending on the volatility of the various data sources.
