The time characteristic of marine UV communication has been studied, and the multipath time delay and the shape of delay power spectrum of NLOS single scattering and multiple scattering models are investigated. The conclusion is that under marine atmospheric environment the degree of pulse wide stretch of the marine UV single scattering communication is in the "microsecond" order of magnitude. The work bandwidth can reach to several hundred kilohertz, but the work range is about 100 m. The optical antenna can enlarge the work range, but the bit rate drops.
