Work in progress - an education module on engineering ethics concentrating on environment-friendly engineering for computer engineers

The importance of computer engineers' ethical responsibility towards the environment has become essential due to the growing concern of environmental hazards due to electronic devices. In this work, we present an education module on engineering ethics concentrating on environment-friendly engineering for design courses in computer engineering. Apart from creating awareness in the mind of future computer engineers about the necessity of environment-friendly engineering, this module will also provide them with information about some popular design techniques employed to achieve environment-friendly devices. This will help the students to understand and also to enact their ethical responsibilities towards the environment as professionals. The evaluation results indicated that the students clearly understood the issues and concepts provided by the education module and around 83.33% of them felt the module to be informative and helpful.
