With the rapid development and promotion of distributed generation technology, microturbine generation system (MTGS) appears extremely superior both in commercial and scientific aspects. According to the Â¿controllable loadÂ¿ exterior characters for distributed generators under the parallel operation of microgrid, a complete mathematical model, regarding a high speed and single shaft microturbine and other electrical components as a whole, is established with PSCAD/EMTDC. Besides, the double-SPWM control strategy of converter at power electronic interface is adopted to implement the constant real and reactive power control scheme (PQ control). Dynamic simulations indicates that the proposed MTGS mathematic model is capable of meeting the given real and reactive power set points both in normal and perturbed operations involving a voltage sag and sudden load change when the microgrid is operating in parallel with the main grid. Results analyses also validate the proposed control schemes for implementation and tests on the experimental prototype of microgrid.
