This article presents a strategy to support the definition of a business model for digital TV that prioritizes the valorization of knowledge of the professionals working in the areas of HCI and business, leading them to share knowledge. The authors advocate a novel approach to the design of the digital TV business model that considers it essential to understand the contextual and human factors of the target population. The application of the strategy in a scenario of digital TV implementation in a Brazilian town is described.
