In this paper, a new saturation control technique using fractional calculus in the framework of anti-windup compensation is developed for linear time-invariant systems subject to input nonlinearities. The difficulties of most anti-windup control methods are caused by constracting a local feedback loop of the anti-windup compensator. Instead, it is considered that a fractional order controller is simply put in front of an unconstrained controller. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated in a simulation example.
