To ensure the Access Point (AP) based Quality of Service (QoS) especially for multimedia communications, it is important to know the bandwidth performance of a transmission media cumulatively what will be a truth for all the nodes under an AP. So that one node can control the transmission rate stability. In order to improve the QoS or experienced audiovisual quality through a link, the effectiveness of rate adaptation depends on the accurate and timely estimation of the available bandwidth. In this paper we proposed simple application-layer bandwidth measurement method for cumulative bandwidth estimation that can be applicable for both active and passive mode in need that runs at the sender application and uses the differences of packets' sending times and feedback receiving times.
