In order to be able to better deal with uncertain information, this paper presents an uncertain reasoning approach, i.e., a reasoning approach of combination of rough set theory and other uncertainty theories. This paper studies mainly the basic algorithm of the reasoning approach, and through example and simulation, shows that the reasoning approach is more effective and feasible than the old reasoning approaches. Moreover, an example to software aging detection is discussed for displaying the application of the reasoning approach. Finally, some prospects for future research are given.
