In this paper, we enhance AODV to exploit heterogeneous communication interfaces in a real-world mobile ad hoc network testbed. The aim is to provide an end-to-end communication abstraction that hides heterogeneity. The anticipated algorithm introduces features like backup routes and delay aware routing to improve AODV's performance.
