In order to solve reliable transmission and performance of application layer multicast, the paper puts forward reliable multicast mechanism called ANRM based on application layer active nodes. In ANRM, middle active nodes take part in error detecting and loss recovery of multicast packet. Once packet loss is discovered, request packet retransmission in time. At last, the effectiveness of ANRM mechanism is proved by the strict mathematical proofs.
