This paper concerns the problem of mixed H2/Hinfin control of a class of nonlinear continuous-time systems with time delays, which can be represented by a delayed fuzzy hyperbolic model (DFHM). The main advantage of using DFHM over T-S fuzzy model is that no premise structure identification is needed and no completeness design of premise variables space is needed. In addition, a DFHM is not only a kind of valid global description but also a kind of nonlinear model essentially. Based on delay-independent Lyapunov functional approach, some sufficient conditions for the existence of such a DFHM-based mixed H2/Hinfin controller are provided, which are given in terms of the feasibility of a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Simulation results show the validity of the proposed method.
