The field-emission cathode has potential application in the field emission display panels, high frequency amplifiers, X-ray sources, cathodoluminescent light sources. In a field-emission display device, the field-emission has to be modulated sensitively. Therefore, a few kinds of field-emission triode, such as normal-gate, under-gate and lateral-gate have been proposed. To simplify the fabrication process and decrease the manufacture cost, a screen-printing planar triode is also investigated. Although the structure of these planar triode is quite simple, the driving voltage is still a little high. In this paper, some conductive nano particles are mixed with secondary electron emitters. The electric field between cathode and gate has been changed due to these conductive nano-particles. Consequently, the driving voltage of triode is decreased. Fig.2 shows the electric field in a planar triode, and Fig.2 shows the variation of brightness with different gate voltage. From Fig.2, it can be seen that the driving voltage is about 50 V.
