The paper deals with the design of a multivariable controller for a component of a paper machine called flowbox. A computer-aided design package based on Rosenbrock's inverse Nyquist array (i.n.a.) technique has been used for the design purpose. For the sake of completeness, a brief description of the pilot flowbox is also included. Results of simulation for both uncompensated and compensated systems are given.
