A novel self-correction differential active pixel with redundancy is proposed to produce high-quality image in harsh environment. In order to avoid common-mode noise from environment and interference between digital signal and analog signal, a couple of differential outputs are generated and transferred by splitting the photodiode and readout transistors into two half-size parts. The performance of differential active pixel in low power supply environment is also estimated. Simulation results indicate that the proposed pixel owns higher conversion gain than conventional active pixel and works more stably in harsh environment and low-voltage environment.
