As a new direction for database technology, active database is applied to a variety of management information system (MIS) because of its features of activity, speediness and intelligence. This paper proposes an active event detection algorithm of time event based on the analysis of active database theory. Furthermore, we design the storage structure of ECA rule library and the architecture of ECA mediator for the embedded database SQLite, and apply it in the fixed assets management system. Finally, aiming to the weakness of security of SQLite database, we design and implement the audit trigger. This scheme satisfies the active needs of system.
