It is very important to estimate the capacity of the watermark information that can be embedded in a digital image. This paper proposes a new the digital image watermarking capacity estimation method by selecting the reliable channels in the wavelet domain. Based on the JPEG2000 compress principle and the human vision system(HVS) characteristics, find out the maximal watermarking capacity under the invisibility constrain, balance well about the relationship among the watermarking invisibility, robustness, and capacity.
