The 800,000 t/y Ethylene Project in Wuhan, launched by Petrochemical Industry in China, is one of the major projects of national development strategy. Within the following five years, China will construct the largest petrochemical industry base of Central China in Wuhan by allotting 300 billion key funds around the industry chain of this project. According to the content of project construction, the dominated pollutants are the gaseous and liquid wastewater ones which are mainly composed of NO2. In order to evaluate the effect of ethylene pyrolysis project to its regional urban air environment correctly, this research aims at realizing the diffusion characteristic and process of waste gas pollutant in the ethylene pyrolysis project of dynamic simulation by the way that modifying the gauss diffusion model dynamic. Then based on the function of data analysis and graphic display of ArcGIS method, the simulation results and the DEM model will be coupled together so as to realize the analysis of dynamic visual distribution of the air pollutant concentration in the pollution monitoring point. All those will provide important technical basis for the air environmental pollution monitoring and preventing, as well as for the urban planning layout in regions all around the project.
