The location algorithm of Chan based on time of arrival (TOA)/time difference of arrival (TDOA) has been researched, and analyzed the performance of Chan location algorithm research by comparing with Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB) in the ideal environment. On this basis, the measured values of TOA has been got by two way ranging mode of TOA in actual measurement, which could verify the performance of Chan location algorithm in actual measurement. The result of simulation and actual measurement indicated that the method has high positioning accuracy both in ideal environment and actual measurement.
