Linear Fishertarget based on Fisher linear discriminant (FLD) is presented in this paper. If an image is regarded as a data set including two-class data, target data and background data, the target detection problem can be transferred into a classification problem. To detect targets from background is to classify target data from image data. FLD can maximize the ratio of between-class scatter to that of within-class scatter. It can get the better performance than classical detection methods.
