Communication and information services are the important parts of virtual test systematic supporting environment. With the background of a military virtual testing system, we have achieved a virtual testing platform for communication based on RT-TCP/IP and real-time database technology. In the communication level, we analyzed the real-time performance of RT-TCP/IP and demonstrated the feasibility of building the virtual test local area network which is agreed the RT-TCP/IP protocol; designed and implemented the middleware of RTEVSM (real-time Ethernet virtual shared memory). In the information services level, we analyzed the real-time performance of the RTX real-time operating sub-system, built a test database based on RTX memory database. By making a combination of the weapon system simulation test, we provided a specific design which satisfied the needs of various real-time applications.
