The paper deals with the control of the multiple armature-winding hybrid-excitation generator (MAHEG) which is used for wind generation. Thus, a rectifier is required between the generator and DC bus. A diode rectifier is preferred here due to its great reliability and because it is also a low-cost solution. Discontinuous PWM have gained special attention for their reduced switching losses. According to the characteristic of grid-connected inverters, the mode of DPWM1 is adopted. Grid voltage orientation vector control strategy is adopted for both inverter, so the active and the reactive power can be independently controlled by d axis current and q axis current. Simulated and experimental results verify the feasibility and correctness for the control strategy.
