The bending problem is solved mathematically for a thin circular plate subjected to a uniform load. The material of the plate is assumed to have three symmetrical planes with respect to its elastic properties. The solution is carried out in the case when the edge is simply supported, and it involves some numerical calculations. An empirical formula for the deflection is also given in a simpler form.
