The analysis of the displacement and stress fields in the neighborhood of a circular craze has been made possible by considering a simple membrane model on an elastic foundation. In a simple tension field, with proper boundary conditions, solution to the governing differential equation is obtained and results are presented for an exponential modulus function of the radius of the craze.
