In this paper the author analyses the different approaches of system topology and medium access control for the internetworking of the Broadband Wireless Networks and the ATM networks. The proposed Wide Dual Bus structure and its M-DQCA medium access control protocol provide a good solution to the Wireless-ATM integration, which is in progress in the GMD-FOKUS of Germany
