This brief addresses stability of the discrete-time positive systems with bounded time-varying delays and establishes some necessary and sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability of such systems. It turns out that, for any bounded time-varying delays, the magnitude of the delays does not affect the stability of these systems. In other words, system stability is completely determined by the system matrices.
