Diversity Analysis of Smart Relaying over Nakagami and Hoyt Generalized Fading Channels

For the decode-and-forward (DF) strategy, smart relaying has been shown to achieve the maximal spatial diversity order over Rayleigh fading channels even when erroneous detection is committed at the relays. Due to the importance of Nakagami and Hoyt statistical models in describing channel fading in land, mobile and satellite communications, this paper performs diversity analysis of the smart relaying systems under Nakagami and Hoyt generalized fading channels.
