It has been pointed out by the New Curriculum that geography courses based on modern information technology should be constructed and information resources and technology measures must be used positively to optimize and enrich the geography instruction. It is not only an innovation of teaching methods to bring the multimedia and network into the field of geography instruction, but also radical influence on the ideas and notions of geography instruction for geography teachers. Appropriate use of modern information technology is the needs of modern geography instruction, the quality of education, and also of the qualified geographic personnel in the twenty-first century. Multimedia geography courseware and network information technology optimized the geography classroom instruction, which will help to enrich the teaching content and expand the geographic knowledge. By use of modern information technology to reform the traditional teaching methods, scientific concept of education and advanced teaching methods will come into the geography classroom which becomes an inevitable trend of geography reform of teaching or education.
