Emerging technologies of high speed telecommunications create a perfect environment for incorporating MCDM based analytical support tools into the distributed group decision support environment. What fundamental features of new communication technologies must a systems analyst consider, in order to properly link the capabilities of MCDM techniques to distributed group decision support? We address this issue by introducing multidimensional space of distributed group decision support functionality and indicate the links between different collaborative solutions and MCDM implementation problems
