This paper presents a novel method for modeling a fuzzy control system using Petri nets, and gives the necessary and sufficient conditions under which a fuzzy control system is stable based on the Petri nets model of the fuzzy control system. Modeling method and stability theorem are verified using a balancing an inverted pendulum simulation.
