Vector control of wind power generation system with brushless doubly-fed generator (BDFG) is studied to meet the needs of grid on wind power generation systems under voltage sag in this paper. The revised control model of BDFG considering variations of grid voltage and the improved control scheme based on a parameter auto-tuning PI controller with fuzzy rules are proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed schemes in the paper are able to regulate the control winding current of BDFG, to reduce its electromagnetic torque fluctuation and to improve the ride though ability of BDFG based wind power generation systems under grid voltage sag.
