Transient eddy current calculation using magnetic vector potential method combined with incomplete tree gauge

An incomplete tree gauge for 3D transient eddy current computation using edge elements is presented. The proposed formulation is compared with the non-gauged and the random tree gauged formulations, showing that it results in better precision and better system matrix conditioning. H circulation is used to calculate the transient eddy current density. The results of the different approaches are discussed.
