A generalization of the spectral index method toward multiple rib waveguides

A generalization of the spectral index method toward multiple rib waveguides is presented. The application to antiresonant-reflecting-optical waveguides and couplers shows a good agreement with experimental results. The method can be easily implemented on a personal computer because the memory requirements are very moderate.
