From diagnosis and detection techniques, the authors propose an on-line supervision system applied to machines' axes. This approach is made up of two main phases: the generation of fault indicator residuals and the decision part concerning the system functional mode. State estimation techniques and statistical filtering are associated to detect on-line system faults
