A new double meshing gear motor was researched. The aim of this research is to design a new motor used in robot or micromechanics which integrates the reduction gear into the motor. Compared with conventional motors, the noticeable features of this motor are short drive chain, high respond speed, stability at low speed, big output torque. In this paper, the operation principle and mechanism characteristics of this new motor are introduced. The finite element analysis is figured out; solid model is founded and the starting torque of the motor is calculated. Through the mathematic analytical method and simulation results, the reasonability and feasibility of this motor have been testified.
