Pulsed power linear motor is the basic power device in electromagnetic launching (EML) technology. When this technology combines with permanent magnetic linear synchronous motor (PMLSM), a pulsed power permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PP-PMLSM) is generated. In this paper, the analysis of cogging force and thrust characteristic of this type of motor are presented, and the scheme comparison of bilateral magnet arranged by N face S with N face N direction is made, at last, the digital control system of the PP-PMLSM is designed and realized. The system design is simple, and it improves the control effect.
