Transverse flux machines(TFMs) feature high torque density and high efficiency at low rotational speed, they are attractive alternatives to conventional machines in direct drive systems and hybrid propulsion applications. The structure and the mathematical principle of the transverse flux switched reluctance machine(TFSRM) described in this paper is based on analytical modeling of the electromagnetic relations. The field and torque solutions are obtained using theoretical analysis and three dimensional finite element method(FEM) with the ANSOFT/Maxwell software. From the mathematical relation and simulation results in the Maxwell software environment, We calculate the parameters and torque of the machine, We also focus on optimization of the torque density and machinepsilas structure.
