The hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is a trend for automobiles in the world because the oil is more and more hard up for providing, and it makes our environment polluted badly. For our motherland, along with the increasing automobile industry, she is becoming a badly pollution and lean-oil country. The demand for hybrid electric vehicle is especially urgent. Chongqing Changan automobile group makes a series of HEV such as CV8 and CV11. This demands the research and development of power train electronic control unit (HCU). The paper introduces the method and system of HCU for its R&D as well as its industrialization. We focus not only on the hardware and software, the development and the methods of R&D, but also its manufacture and quality management.
