SoftWear antenna is a new concept of describing soft wearable antennas that take the advantage of flexible materials making the whole antenna structure flexible. This paper describes how the performance of wearable textile antennas is affected on the antenna bending. Here, we will focus on the resonance frequency fluctuation and input-match bandwidth variation due to the antenna bending as well as the effects of radiation pattern deformation and radiation efficiency. The results are given for three different antennas, namely, a conventional patch, EBG (electromagnetic band-gap), and dual-band U-slot antennas.
