A computer simulation program is developed to evaluate the performance of TCM codes over a mobile satellite channel. The effects of band-limited filtering and channel nonlinearity are also included for practical applications. TCM codes with a non-uniform structure can also be simulated. The usefulness of this simulation program is demonstrated by comparing the performance of 3 TCM codes with analytical results over a satellite fading channel
