With the increasing attention to global environment and resource problem, traditional supply chain has been expanded to closed loop system. Meanwhile, economic, ecological and legal forces are emphasizing the need to recovery of end-of-life product. To make the product recovery processes more effective and efficient, this study discusses the information needed and then a conceptual framework is proposed to support product recovery decision. The mechanism that enables ready availability of complete information associated with the products using semantic Web technologies, which constitute the main core of the framework, is also introduced.
