A 77 GHz injection-locked Miller frequency divider (ILMFD) is presented. The proposed architecture inserts a direct injection-locked frequency divider into the feedback loop of a Miller divider to achieve divide-by-three function. The overall chip size of the 0.13 m CMOS ILMFD is 0.99 0.69 mm. The measured locking range is 2.2 GHz around 77 GHz without any frequency tuning.
