Adaptive and block excisions in spread spectrum communication systems using the wavelet transform

Adaptive wavelet domain filtering techniques are used for interference excision in spread spectrum communication systems to immunize the receiver to a large class of jammers, specifically those with burst energy characteristics. A fast wavelet transform along with the sparse structure of the transform-domain correlation matrix can be used to speed up the convergence. We present the adaptive wavelet transform baseband receiver and delineate its properties and performance.<
