Integrated utilization of heterogeneous database systems through a data network

A simultaneous access method using global commands is proposed for integrated utilization of databases. This method is evaluated on the basis of experiments related to a synthetic database system for chemical substances. This system is used as an example of heterogeneous database system in interconnecting networks, to which this method is applied. It has been ascertained that the proposed integrated retrieval method is efficient and practical.<
