A parallel moment method is developed for the computation of large grounding grids in multi-layer soil. All of the time-consuming steps in this method are designed supporting parallel computing on a PC Cluster using message passing interface (MPI). Compared with the experimental results, this method is proved correct and because of the good speedup, it is practical for the analysis of large grounding grids efficiently.
