Based on heterogeneous and redundancy, SEA (Sleep-scheduling & Energy-efficient Algorithm) was brought forward in wireless sensor network. When the node runs for cluster-head, the node with different energy would have different probability. At the same time Sleep-scheduling was imported after the node was divided in cluster. SEA not only could better handle the heterogeneous energy capacities but also better used the redundancy property of sensor node. Experimental results illustrates that this algorithm provided longer lifetime (about 30%) and more throughput (about 15%) than the current important algorithms.
