Professionals who specialise in space technology and its applications are more or less resigned to being a relatively small part of the aerospace sector. When you consider the number of people who fly in aircraft each year compared with the number who fly in spacecraft, this seems perfectly reasonable, but we live in a world apparently governed by turnover, profit and market share, so let??s apply the same metrics to the space industry.
