The paper presents, in the form of a case study, an approach to the successful integration of a CAD system into a small company. The planning necessary for the successful implementation of a CAD system is described in the context of this particular company, the overall approach to CAD system selection is outlined and the effects of a successful implementation are discussed. Although based on a specific company, the procedures and resulting changes are of general interest to anyone considering such an investment.
